• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pin Program No longer requires proof

https://www.google.com/dmca.html click this, very suspicious, you been had $25.00 for a pin ????

No, it was not created by me conspiracy theorists!! Lets break this down so your not clicking any links generated by me.

1. Google Can Am Spyder, the top link should be the ad by brp, if not find the link to the brp spyder website.
2. When that site comes up (its the new version of their website and the url is http://can-am.brp.com/spyder/), click Community.
3. Then under Pin Program click Find Out How.
4. That takes you to http://can-am.brp.com/spyder/community/pin-program.html, which I posted earlier.
5. In the text there is a website address listed (why they dont have it as a link is beyond me): To receive your pin, visit http://goo.gl/RO1xw7 to submit your name and address
6. You can't click that website address (again, beyond me), but you can copy and paste it. That is the original link that I posted.

I did not make it up. I do not work for the NSA, FBI, or a offshore hacking site. I am not sure why it asks for money, I didn't go through the process, as I am not near the 25,000 mark to get my next pin. They never charged before.

Anyway, I was only pointing out that there was no proof needed, and was thinking there would be some people with 100k pins with 18k on their bikes, :gaah:.

Pin, Smin! Doesn't matter how many miles you have on your Spyder as long as you enjoyed the ones you have! :ohyea::ohyea:I never got mine, but I know how many miles I have and how fun they were! My pin is the smiles on the face of my wife and me after a day of riding!;) JMHO. Enjoy the ride and be safe!

So it is a test site that they probably didn't intend to have anyone access?

I'm always suspicious of sites asking for information and money. I did follow the link from the BRP after verifying it was a real link and completed the form. I did not get any request for payment, It didn't even ask for an email address or proof of Spyder ownership. Something is weird, but it didn't cost anything. Time will tell.

Hmmm, wonder why the other guy got prompted for money?

Nope, I just think its the new version of the website. If your on Facebook, Can-Am Spyder links to that in their announcement of the 2014's.

That url leads to the new website.

We'll See If I Get a Pin Now

We'll after going to the new BRP site i gave them my info too, time will tell if I my pin or not. Will not hold my breath :opps::opps::opps::opps:

Bob

I jumped through all the BRP hoops and submitted everything that was required for two different mileage pins. That was approximately six months ago. I've never heard a word. What a joke.

Never received the Welcome Kit so won't burn the efforts on the pin...sounds like it is hit-and-miss whether they actually ship. So...will just ride and enjoy. :-)

I was not asked for money either, but I do thank you for passing on this information.

Pin site update. I have not received any acknowledgement or requests for $25 for the pin information I submitted yesterday. Still waiting to see what happens. :bbq::bbq::bbq:

Got my pin today

I too think the pin program is a joke. After going thru the hassle for the 5000 mile pin with my RS, and just not to get the pin. Then trying again for my RT, but gave up with all the hassle it required. If this site is real I will wear the pin with pride, but if not I guess I will go out and buy a bridge :gaah:

By the way, just checked the BRP site, and the request a pin link has not changed.

Only problem is I requested the 5K, and got the 25K pin :gaah: Only 18K to get it right :roflblack:

Also, the letter had a BRP logo, and Canada return address on it.

I requested the correct (5K) pin just now, so it should be here in two months

Still have not heard from or received any pin from my submission for a pin on 10/11/2013.

I applied for my 5k pin about three months ago and I haven't heard a thing. They must be busy....

Sent from the corner of walk and don't walk....

I got my 25,000 pin

I applied in October when I first got Spyder. I got my pin in the mail today. So, it took two months to get the pin. I did not pay anything for it. My package came directly from BRP, it took so long I had no idea what it was when I opened it.
