• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We lived in Sevier County for seven years and learned to stay away from the Parkway through PF when ever possible. If you are coming back from Lamont's to stay in your cabin, take highway 321 back west to Newport and then take highway 411 towards Sevierville. You can take Veterans Blvd off of 411 to bypass most of the Pigeon Forge traffic as Vetrans gets back to the parkway on the other side of Dollywood.

Or, you can take Jayell road off of Veterans Pkwy and get onto Pittman Center road that takes you to highway 321 just outside of Gatlinburg. If your cabin is on the I-40 side of Gatlinburg that is the quickest and most scenic way to get there.

There are lots of ways to get around that area that are very scenic with less traffic.

i didn't go to that part of TN when I lived in Oak Ridge over 40 years ago.. oh.. never been to Branson Mo.either . and won't..for those very same reasons you mentioned..

Double Trouble

Seen your Valk and had one also. They are one sweet ride aren't they? Just came off mine and got onto the Spyder. At 79 had a bit of trouble lifting it up. Was on it for about 10 yrs. one great ride. Hoping to get used to the Spyder as well. Really different.

Traffic in PF

Traffic isn't always that bad. Really bad this last weekend because of the Rod & custom car show . There's car shows thw whole month but I think this one was the largest. Still you are right PF is crowded but try driving thru Gatlinburg on a summer Friday night.

Rode through Pigeon Forge and Galinburg this afternoon. No problem at all.Fun looking at all that was going on.
While stopping one guy admired the RT and told me about the huge line of RTs he had seen a couple of days ago.Lamonsters ride.

It was so much better Sun. late afternoon as most of the cars are gone, although still a few around ( I think the Rod Run is next weekend ) Just back from the " SNAKE " and man you have to wonder what the hay the road builders where thinking when they built that road .:roflblack: The Snake is way more technical then the Dragon. Its been a long time since I played that much wiggly butt driving through all those curves. Going to do the Dragon and Rattler tomorrow.

The Snake was definitely fun. We were running tail gun on the Friday ride. Stopped to help a stranded rider and got separated from the group. Fortunately, one
Of those who stopped to help was Ypilot, who lives nearby in Johnson City. We took the RT to the dealer in Elizabethton and the Ypilot took a couple of us on the Snake so we had a really good Friday of riding! Missed getting to do the Dragon. Oh well, next year!
