• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are there any Spyder owners taking their Spyder to the Rod Run next month? Wifey and I were there last year and we had the only one! I think we got more looks than most of the cars. We will be there again this year and wondered if we will be the "odd man out". We will be hauling the Spyder in the toyhauler and staying at a campground.

What are the dates ? Sept 15-20 is Smokin-in-the-Smokies in PigeonForge that looks interesting...

the wife and I will be there the weekend of Friday the 13th -and leaving the 15th .so can u give me some more info on the rod run ..im very interested ...hopefully the car show will start sunday..if could make us stay a lil sunday depending on what is going on...thanks chuck... please pm me with a link if there is one.

The rod run is the 12th through the 15th. I have heard of the Smokin in the Smokies. Looks interesting with some great rides. Wonder if a Spyder will be a little too much for that group?? :). I will be there for both, so I might have to check it out. Does anyone have any experience with the Smokin in the Smokies event??

We will be down for Smokin in the Smokies starting Sunday afternoon 9/15 and leaving Friday morning 9/20.

We will have the trailer set up in front of the host motel, Vacation Lodge in Pigeon Forge. We will have the trailer open only Sunday afternoon and night along with Monday and Tuesday nights after about 8 30 PM or so. We will be riding every day during the day then going out to eat in the evening.
We tried coming down early several times on Saturday, way to many people so we do not show up until early Sunday afternoon now.
Anybody want to go riding with us just let us know. Stop by and see us or stay at the Vacation Lodge. The BBQ in the parking lot is great on Sunday Afternoon.
We will have the Spyder down this year, can not get one of my bikes along with the Spyder in the trailer, so just the Spyder. Will be doing a different ride everyday and will be a lot of fun.
We have sponsored and done this event for many years.
Everyone is welcome no matter what you ride. They are all good people and incredibly friendly.

If you have never experienced the Rod Run, hold on to your socks! There will be hundreds, maybe thousands, of classic cars, hot rods and everything else driving everywhere. The parking lots are packed with plenty for he eyes to look at. The lawn chairs will be strategically placed along the parkway so everyone can watch the cars cruise up and down the road. It was a good time if you like cars. Friday and Saturday night are obviously the busiest, but even during the day there is plenty to see, cuz guess what...those spiffy looking cars are just sitting everywhere!!

Yes we are coming down from Lake County Ohio.
This year we will be staying Saturday night in Wytheville, VA at the Days Inn. A bunch of people all coming from the north are staying there on Saturday night.

Hope to see some Spyders down there this year. We can't be the only one's there with a Spyder.

Rick,
I will also be coming from Lake County (Kirtland) and will be there for the whole thing! So, don't worry, there will be at least one other Spyder there! We will be staying in a campground in Pigeon Forge. There was really only one that could give me a campsite big enough for the truck and toyhauler. We will be sure to make our presence known at the hotel on Sunday afternoon. Look forward to meeting you!

Very cool.
Teresa and I should be there sometime after noon. If anyone wants anything brought down that is specific for Spyder (or wants to look at something) let us know. We are only bringing generic parts and clothes for sale in the trailer.
We are really looking forward to seeing everyone and riding.
