There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Pictures of my leaky clutch

Here is why I am so pizzed. I back in until my front wheels are close to the mat. I intentionally park on it for proof if anything is leaking. so you can see it is from the right side and I pulled the plate to see oil on the plate running to the rear where the support is and a drop hanging from the SE5 clutch inspection plate. I am also not happy about the squeaking going from neutral to 1st or reverse. I can't tell if it does it on the road too much noise when riding. I do not always part dead center so my wife can get in my car sometimes I park farther to the right.

I see the main reason right of the bat. You're barefooted and using cheapskate carpeting. Your Spyder is not leaking it is peeing oil in protest.

I leak more than that after a Prostate exam.....:roflblack:

Wow was i just thinking that or did i type it:dontknow:

Well..!!

really needed to photograph the motor to see where it is coming from. Waiting to hear what they find...hope you get her back soon....

I saw the drip from the little vent at the bottom of the SE5 clutch inspection plate so I assume it is coming from inside and is the clutch cover either not torqued right or bad gasket I will know for sure on Friday. I am not looking forward to yet another day at the dealer. nojoke

hello. it sounds like you have the same problem as my spyder has. few days back i notice a large puddle of oil. i take it to my local dealer where i purchased it from. they looked at it within 24hours and have advised me its a gasket leaking in the clutch or new the clutch. i have a RTS SE5. they told me it might be a big job as engine may need to come out. they hope that is not the case. parts on order. bike has 6000km. low mileage. when im at the dealer another spyder came in with same gasket leaking. needless to say im not impressed with this leak. dealer is trying to fix asap. what are they saying about your bike?

I have the Service manual that gasket is very easy to change and does not require pulling the engine. The squeak I get shifting to reverse or 1st:dontknow: I only have 1500 mi. on it.

Back from the dealer had 2 choices "Live With it" or " tear it down" My bikes name is now Jack the Dripper :roflblack: It is noted in my service log. The squeak is from the hydraulic piston moving again supposedly nothing to worry about. I actually got to see it move with the inspection plate off. Maybe If I get bored this winter or it gets worse I will have it torn down. BRP has seen this drip before it may even heal itself with more miles. I did get the belt tensioned right though ( I think). I also verified there is not CAT on a pre '14 Spyder of any flavor. They are "resonators" or "primary mufflers" not catalytic converters according to the service manager. There will be one on the '14 though good luck with the heat from that you 2014 buyers. Another good reason to own a 2013 ;)

Forgot to mention as he was showing me the clutch I reached in and grabbed the wrapped EVAP. It was loose and bouncing around :yikes: I think he got it clipped in now geeze I do not know what to think or say about that:shocked:

First, did you just have the recent "heat fix" involving the master cylinder and or evap canister? I ask because after I had "the heat fix" and 14,000 mile oil change with service maintenance, I had a small leak. Took it back to the dealer and there had been some oil over fill or spillage which caused oil to fall to the garage floor. Once they cleaned everything up, all was okay and has been. (Just thinking)

No this is from the weep hole on the clutch piston on the right side and verified. I was looking at the Green Manual Factory Service Manual and know why it is leaking ( I think) it is missing the snap ring for the hydraulic piston to keep it from over extending into the cover. It may have been over extending. Dealer did not notice it and neither did I till I got home and looked at the factory manual. There are 3 seals and a snap ring I am going to get replaced. Did I mention they put my Tupperware back together wrong? The put it inside the splash plate instead of outside it . I fixed it myself. It looks like a 1hr fix to do all 3 seals and now that the issue is in the BRP system I am taking it to a dealer who has a clue to get it fixed. It is a minor drip but putting an engine together with a part missing does not give me a fuzzy feeling about Rotax now. I hope I get this all worked out. The upside is I am learning waaaay more about the bike ( and SE5 tranny)than I ever wanted to. It is like owning a C4 Corvette. The FSM should come with it.:banghead:

More likely the seals were nicked during assembly. Lamont had one with the same malady. It is a fairly easy fix.

Looking at the FSM it is an easy fix only 4 seals but at this point I would want to stand over the tech's shoulder watching his every move :yikes:. I haven't lost faith in the bike but the service....not so much. If I could get them to give me the seals I would really rather do it myself. Probably one of the piston lining seals.

any chance it is still under warrenty? will dealer take care of it? If not start pulling panels off and slowly follow the trail. from the bottom (floor)to were you see the drops to coming from, it is not fun, good luck
