• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i don't know if you have seen this or not, but do you find this picture offensive to the American flag. the father holding the baby in the flag is in the service and the young lady that took the picture is a vet. I FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PICTURE and i really like it.

This image will always provoke discussion... :D
While I love the image, and the feeling that it promotes; it is NOT really an acceptable thing to do to our Nation's Flag...

What do you think of this picture??

The photo of the baby in the Flag though it does look nice it is in fact a violation of the flag code. The father of the baby is a Naval Officer and should have known better. I have no doubt that the Navy at this time is trying to figure out who the Officer is because the photo does not do honor to our flag and thus by being in uniform does not bring honor to our Navy. As a Retired Navy Chief, I have to side with the flag code on this one and think that the officer needs to be brought up on charges under the UCMJ. Just noticed that the officer's name is showing in the photo, it was blocked out on HLN this morning, he for sure will be called on this one.

i sure hope not, he is serving out country to protect our flag and he is going to raise his child under that flag. sorry to disagree

He is not dragging it on the ground. He has his child cradled in it. To me that symbolizes that the child's future is being held by the flag and what it stands for. I know there is a Flag code, but if demonstrators burn flags and get "Free Speech" privileges then this military person deserves respect for his love of his child and his flag.

So..!!

I agree with the respect and honor our flag should be given and has enjoyed through many a year but times have changed and you can get any piece of cothing in our colors. It has been thrashed and trashed and dragged through the mud by theirs and ours. But if it gives comfort to one of its children I have no issue with that. Jmo...
