• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Picked up the New Wheels

spyder3

In Florida this weekend. The missus and I flew down friday morning to get our new ride. Our old spyder was there in the showroom, so It was kind of bittersweet.

We test drove the 2014 spyder, a GW road smith trike, did a lot of DD on the R18 reverse trike from the netherlands and finally the Rewaco. As you can see, the Rewaco was the one for us. Drove it home to NJ saturday and sunday, 1100 miles of nothing but smiles. This is the furthest we ever took a bike, so it was a little nerve wracking to say the least, esp since it was so different than the spyder. Shifting left handed and the rear width being 2 of them. It worked out great and we arrived safe & sound. A couple of shots inside the garage which needs a major cleanup...Its 3 ft longer than the spyder and 18" wider so it was a quick make room before we left friday. A few picts!

:congrats: That thing looks like it's TONS of fun!! :2thumbs:
Did it take long for you ro acclimate to the larger size of it?
How does it handle?
(Did you put it through some "twisties"??)

That looks nice. Congrats.
This thread made me go to YouTube to listen and watch them in action.
It's nice they offer a handicapped conversion for the enabled rider(s).

Thanks bob.

Total blast to drive. You are literally sitting in the bike and that changes the entire perspective of the ride. The steering is very responsive and sensitive. Does not need a lot of operator input to follow the road. That took a bit of getting used to.

We test drove it through some florida twists a few weeks ago....When i looked down at the speedo i though we were going 100mph, thats scared me:roflblack:....As it turned out that was Km so we were only doing 60 mph in a 35 zone:yikes:

The larger size took the longest to get used to i would say. The first few times I checked the mirrors it scared me thinking there was another vehicle that close to me:roflblack:...... Caution when paying tolls and pulling into gas pumps....but, like anything else you adapt.

Cool! :2thumbs:
Having the width behind you... With my limited driving skills; that would have me running into all sorts of interesting objects. :yikes:
The Missus still yells at me to remember the front wheels, when we're approaching tollbooths... :opps:
Lots of luck with it! :2thumbs:

lol, thanks. I hope my EZ pass was working from inside my pocket because i was not planning on stopping at any tolls booths...lol

Very nice

That should bring as many comments and whistles, as our Spyder's already get.

Congrats to you, and thanks for the great pics.

Have fun and ride safe...

Chas

:congrats: That is a cool looking ride. My first thought is that it looked like Herman Munsters bike (if he had one). I hope you enjoy.

thank you!

Yes, gas stations, parking anywhere was quite spyder like and then some.....People taking pictures from cars while doing 80...one guy trying to negotiate his iPhone picture and driving was on the dangerous side...needed to get away from him...:yikes:

Very interesting. I have never seen one of those.

QUESTION:

Did you consider a Slingshot?

Regards,
Joe T.

I did recently, but not enough to wait an test drive one..... At one of the gas stops, I was asked "what is it"...i have to admit i was stumped...:roflblack: So i pointed to my seat and said from here up its a motorcycle, from the rear seat back its a sports car....So i do need to come up with a catchy name..:roflblack:
