• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Picked up my 2012 RT Limited today

I picked up my 2012 RT Limited in Lava Bronze today and put about 150 miles on it. Looking forward to putting on a lot more!!

I have a question though for anyone with the Limited - can the Garmin GPS sound (the voice giving directions) come through the sound system on the bike itself? If it does, I haven't figured out how to do it yet (if it doesn't work, I can always use my headset and hear it through my helmet but I think I'd rather have it through the bike speakers if possible).

If anyone has figured out how to get it through the speakers and feels like it sharing with a newbie, it would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you!!!!!!

Oh, and I'll be posting pictures soon - my sister-in-law took a couple but I haven't seen them yet.

Congrats, Gmac! I purchased an identical Spyder to yours last Friday and will bring it home from the dealer within the next several days. Can't wait! I think we both have many enjoyable miles in store for us.

Welcome aboard! You sure picked out a great bike!:2thumbs: Now all we're waiting on, is the pictures, and your "Reports From The Saddle"!

GPS

The GPS sound does go through the speakers. Make sure the sound is up on the GPS and the stereo is turned to medium volume .

By default the voice will come through the speakers on the RT, i just tried it.

Will go to bluetooth if you have the bluetooth enabled.

I also have a 2012 RT Ltd in Lava Bronze

Congradulations Gmac!

Where did you buy? At Marks? If so how was your sales and delivery experience? I have heard mixed reviews on their service department. I've never used them for that reason, but they would be much closer than Flamingo's. Although I have had good service from Flamingo's so far

Finally, a picture (though it's my brother on it, not me)

Okay, I finally have a picture. I have a brother that is mentally disabled. He'll never be able to drive one of these (or anything else) but he sure was happy to have a ride!! Afterwards I had him sit in the driver's seat and his smile tells the story all by itself!!

It's raining out there at the moment so I won't try this until later, but I did have bluetooth turned on. I'm hoping that's why the sound didn't go through the speakers. I sure hope it's that simple!!

Yes, I bought it at Mark's. They're only a couple of miles from me which made it easy. I can't tell you anything about service yet but so far they've been great to work with and as long as the service is as good as the rest of the experience I'll be recommending them highly.

They actually found mine at a dealership in NH!!

I don't know which dealership it was, but it looks like we have a lot in common already! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have in the (too short) day I've had it!
