• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Phantom Kit

Questions

New member
I have put the phantom kit and I was wondering what I can use to clean it. My dealership told me they talked with BRP and they said to WD40... I am not sure what to put on it just curious if anyone can let me know what they use.
Thanks

Don't know about WD40. I think that would turn your bike into a dust magnet ?:dontknow: I use something called ICE on my Phantom . It is a wax that won't leave white marks on the matt black but a nice low luster shine and a high gloss shine on the other panels.

Turtle Wax Ice products. Also, just for cleaning, Windex Multi-Surface with Ammonia, or the Armor-All Cleaner Wipes. Do not use the Windex with vinegar!

Never heard of this product, but I now have a mental picture of you cleaning your bike like a Tazmanian Devil in a cartoon. :roflblack:

Scotty,

Go online and check it out...highest grade carnuba...melting point of 1200 degrees...Geoff (sp?) Bodine is a sponsor (or used to be)...I've never seen a wax, be it Zymol, Turtle Wax, or any other, even come close...have to see it to believe it...

Look it up, seriously...great stuff!!!!!

As far as waxing like a Tazmanian Devil, well, I do have fun waxing!!

I use brp:spyder: Roadster Detailing kit-i got a good deal from dealer runs around $40.00 normally-comes with spray wash- just spray on then hose off. Metal polish for wheels, spray cleaner/ plastic polish- leaves a nice smell and shine. Also has 2 microfiber towels. I have tried other stuff only to find haze left after. Some may say the price a little much but i figure brp knows it works and safe for the bike. A normal car wash cost a min. of $5 for basic wash. I am on my 3rd wash since getting.hope this helps.
