• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Phantom Kit w/ White RSS

WJS

I'm on the fence with this kit. I want to break-up the all white of my RSS. I bought a few black decals, that do a good job and they were cheap but they don't look cheap. They cover the same panels as the Phantom kit would with the exception of the trunk & wheels which I think need it the most but I want a more complete look than they can give.

Does anyone have installed or have pictures of this kit on the white RSS? I need to see it before I pull the trigger.

Thanks all.

That is actually an interesting idea and I don't recall seeing anyone do it yet. The Phantom was the "special" model for 2009, and the white RS-S was the "special" model for 2010. You should be able to use the Phantom panels without any issues, but it may be very hard to find pictures before doing so. You may be the trailblazer on this one.

Best of luck if you decide to go that way.

OK, after seeing the black sides with the white center (all gloss) I think I like that better. Oh man... so many direction to go in. :gaah: I think I would keep the front fenders white and paint the rear black along with the sides.

Speaking if which, I'm guessing it would be a lot cheaper to have a local body shop paint these panels rather than order them from some where, no?

This bike is a Phantom. I bought silver plastics. Everything that is painted white cost me $500.00. I got the plastics for $300.00
