• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I finally got some free trime to get to work and do some sorely needed maintenance on 14. She's been sittin a bit as of late because I just have not had the time to do the work and I didn't want to ride it in that condiition- well that and I can't get my butt off the FA! :roflblack: But last weekend I finally got to work and spent the time gettin' 14 back in the game.

Man, what a difference! She's runnin' like new again. Ron, those plugs and wires are amazing. They look great and the machine LOVES them! I'm very glad we went with the standard plugs and not the "hotter" ones. For me that was the right choice. The Hindle was a gonner - couldn't save it - so it went in the trash and the stocker went back on. I didn't want to do that, but I can't afford the replacement can I want yet, so the stocker will have to do for a while. But that's OK. It'll do for now. The highlight of the prceedings, however, was finally removing that ugly (and cracking) rear fender. I found a great universal plate relocator kit at Cyclegear which worked out perfectly, so we are good to go there. She looks 10 times better now. I also adjusted the shocks for a slightly softer ride which worked out well. Not near as stiff as it was but still corners well. All in all I was very pleased with the outcome. It's nice to be riding her again - almost forgot how much fun it was!

Thanks, Bob. Of course, things didn't go without a hitch - this is one cantankerous philly! She likes to fight ya, so I had my share of adventures. I had an oil filter cap screw snap on me while doing the oil change among other things - but in the end, I got her done. And not one tool was thrown! :roflblack: Of course, a turbulent flow of colorful metaphors filled the air at times. Some things never change!
