• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

People still stop me to ask questions
How do you answer them
I am always happy to answer them
The one I like the best is
"is it front wheel drive?"
No its 4 wheel drive
You should see the looks on their faces

The one I liked best dates back a couple of years....

He: How hard is that thing to steer?

Me: Pretty easy since the steering is power assisted.

He: That back wheel has power assist?

Me: No, the fronts are power assisted.

He: But I watched you drive in and you steered with the back wheel just like I do on my fork lift.

Me: I don't think so.

He: Don't tell me what I saw... I know you steered it from the back.

Me: If you say so.

He: Are you trying to be a smart A...?

Me: Have a nice a day.

The most common question that I get:
"How much do they cost?" :gaah:
My answer:
"What you get out of them, is more important that what you've got in them."
The best one:
"Does the rear wheel steer it?"
My answer:
"It can; but you've REALLY got to get on the throttle hard!" :D

Last sunday I rode up to British Columbia and back on my RT.

Clearing Canadian customs was okay. The CBS officer got a big ol' grin on his face, asked a few questions, and told me to enjoy the day.

On the way back, the US Border Patrol officer held me up for ten minutes in the lane (with cars behind me) to ask "how much did it cost?" "how does it handle?" "is it really that stable?" "how much fun is it?", etc........:sour:

As I see it..!!

As much as we have grown in numbers we are still not that common a sight. If there were a bigger presence on the idiot box perhaps people would be a bit more informed. Although there are so many common questions you always get new ones. Latest one here is "Can three ride on it..??" would you want to be the guy in the middle..??.....:roflblack:

Usually get 3 questions
How of I like = love it and will not be without one
How well does it handle = Like its on a rail unless you wake nanny up and that's a whole other story.
How much did it cost

I got one

Was at a local parts store and when I came out a very nice lady was looking at it. So you know they are going to ask questions and she did all of the same that people ask.....and then she asked if she could sit on it And I told her she could. Now the next thing she ask was so silly, it was this. As she climb on she asked me if it was going to fall over!!!nojokenojoke..

Well that all depends on who the ladies were in front and behind.

At wal-mart getting ready to pull out to leave on our RT and this guy walks up and ask me is that thing your. I said nope just stole it last night.

Over the years we have had some great questions from the public. I have not had any of the "good ones." I usually get asked the how do you like it, akspyderlady get more questions than I, since she is a lady driver. The how much question comes up a lot these days.

One of the best comments I heard was this mother told her 17 yr. old son
"now I'll let you buy one like that"

Amazing!!! Simply amazing!!!! Today (in fact just about 15 minutes ago) I was approached twice and the first question from the second person that stopped me was whether it was front wheel or rear wheel drive. I'm like you. I love my spyder, am proud of my spyder and will go at lengths to talk to people who show an interest.

I think most of us on this forum are ambassadors for BRP.
