• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I like the concept but they have a look of a sandbox waiting to be filled (gravel catcher). Do you find that to be the case? Also, are they above the 4" belly bottom?

I like the kewlmetal solution. use Harley pegs on them... works great. with the engine bolt clearance fix for the 2010 done there is little vibration...

reason is that it allows me to keep my heels on the OEM footpegs and my toes rest on the highway pegs... with that position it takes very little time to roll my feet back to the brake or shift levers. I feel safer not having my feet so far from the OEM footpegs in emergency.

Hi Yol Bolsun,

I never had an issue with sand or gravel building up. I've driven a lot in the rain and dirty weather with no problem but have to admit that I've never ridden on gravel roads.
There is a space between the big gray side plate of the Spyder and the boards in the lowest part. Maybe that is there for that reason.
You're right about VTC but I didn't know that. Actually there is no manufacturer name of any kind on mine.

If you take a look at the first of the four last pics I posted you will notice that you can still see the belly pan underneat the Spyder. So I would say no
they are not below the 4" clearance.

As far as other brands looking better well what can I say,,, I bougth those because I think these look better. I think they match the lines of the RT very well
and they don't look so "Hand Made" that's all. To each his own!!

I have to agree with clueless on the position of your feet. That is a critical issue. (Unless you have the hand grip brakes installed). Of course I don't put my feet on the boards
when ridding around town or heavy traffic.
