• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pegs/floorboard Modification so passenger would not need to bend knees back

My wife had knee surgery about a 1-1/2 years ago but her knee never healed perfectly. Sitting on the Spyder as a passenger, causes her pain :( due to having to bend the knees back. I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to locate someone who fabricates some kind of mod (longer front pegs, a floorboard between front and back pegs, etc.) I saw a pair of floorboards on a Youtube video titled Custom Spyders. Those would certainly do the trick. Any info where I can turn to it would be appreciated. Thanks, CaptRalph

How about something like this? I saw this particular Spyder at The Homecoming this summer. The owner made these floorboards himself and the idea is very simple. I have seen a few other pictures posted here that used a similar concept. Find a local machine shop or metal shop who could do something like this for you.

I think there may have been some other pictures of a very similar looking floorboard setup without changing to the heel toe shifter. I'm just too lazy right now to search the forums to look for those posts / pictures. :D

From what i hear most SM5 owners don't even use the parking brake. I wish i didn't have to use it on my SE5 seems like that thing needs adjusting atleast once a month lol
