• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Peeve I have about replies to questions

Questions yes, problems.....there better not be or I am taking it and myself out over the cliff on the Chuckanut... beautiful view on the way down.

I hope you're wise enough to know that just because you buy a new model doesn't mean there won't be questions. :D

In my experience over the years, when manufacturers do big changes in a model year that is usually the model year you don't want....hope I'm wrong though.

I read the original post :sour: . . . and then scrolled through all the responses  . . . at this point, all I can remember is something about growing flowers. :hun: Did I link to a gardening forum by mistake? :dontknow: . . .

3 pages of nonsensical replies for the most part... interesting...

Did you really expect something different?

A little off topic is not bad. However, when the thread goes completely sideways, when someone is actually looking for help, that can be very annoying to the OP.

I'll save my pet peeve for another thread; it's what took me off here for over a month.

Glad to see you back!!

You were missed...

Lol... "if we continue to do what we have always done we will continue to get what we always got" "Only action can invoke change" "I only have to look at the media to understand why" "Continuous self assessment = perpetual change" "Do more with less".........Yes I do expect something different, will I get it not likely, lol.

Do not forsake this forum or you will miss one of those gems I talk about!

Not to offend anyone, lol.. I see posts where some asks a clear question and the replies seem to be members just wanting to comment and not an answer.
I agree - but that is the world of internet FORUMS. I belong to several Spyder forums; several Bayliner boat forums; Goldwing forum; etc. and it always happens.

We all respond at some point and miss the mark on what the original poster was seeking an answer or comment about - but there definitely are some people who just say something to say something. They know they are doing that because they add a LOL to the comment or one of those goofy animated icons to show they are trying to be clever or make a joke about it.

I don't know what is worse - a comment that has no value at all OR someone hijacking the topic and leading the entire discussion astray.

I can ignore a single comment that is not on point - but when there is a whole string of them, I just stop reading that thread and move on.

That is the bad news! The GOOD NEWS! is there are lots of hidden gems posted throughout this FORUM with good advice and experiences that you are grateful people share.

Just take a chill pill and read. In a short-time, you will learn which posters offer the best insight and opinions. Do not forsake this forum or you will miss one of those gems I talk about!
