• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Patriot Guard Riders: A worthwhile endeavor!

Today we participated in our first "joint" (both Chris and I) Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) "mission" - honoring a 83-year old Korean War Air Force Vet in Howard, SD. As a 25-year Navy vet myself, I can not describe the honor I felt today as I stood on the flag line. We are the only Spyder owners in the Sioux Falls, SD area PGR group - as far as we know. Are there any other Spyder riders in the Sioux Falls area? By the way, you don't have to be a veteran to participate in the PGR. Only a freedom loving citizen! God Bless America!

Awesome..!!

rode in once as a guest fir a friends father..it was an amazing feeling. Congrats to you both you bring honor to the fallen...!! :2thumbs:

Thanks for your post,my wife and I ride our Spyders and stand flag lines with the PGR here in the Charleston,SC. You only have to do it once to understand the feeling standing a flag line will give you. PS nether my wife or I where in the service, that's why we stand!

We have been ryding Patriot Guard since we got the first :spyder: in 2009. The first mission was for a 19 year old soldier that was KIA in Iraq after only three weeks in country. Over 250 fellow riders showed up for that one.

I joined the PGR in April, 2006, not long after it started here in Ohio. It is still a Honor for me to be able to Honor their Service.
Words can say how it feels when you are out for a ride and pass a Church or Cemetary and think, This was Joe or Sues Mission. When in fact, their real name comes to mind. Many Mission trips to the VA Cemetary here in Dayton, Ohio.
Please remember as you do there Missions, it may your 10th, 100ths or more Mission, but it is their First.

The PGR here in Northwest Ohio is escorting World War II veterans to and from their Honor Flights to Washington DC that fly out of Toledo Express Airport. There is an escort from Findlay on June 3rd at 5:00 AM, The next two are on June 18th and September 24th and that will be the end of all Honor Flights from our region. Flag Lines at the airport are to and from the plane.
