• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Passenger seat button power limiter

There is this spring loaded big button assy under the rear seat. I've been told that is purpose is to reduce power output when a passenger is aboard that seat. Does anyone know what % of reduced power, or has anyone removed this device?? Acceleration is always difficult to judge when there is an extra load on the bike.
PS: Don't tell my wife I said she was an extra load--she varies between 118--120# & she is very sensitive about her weight increase from 115#. I told her not to wear her bra & that would reduce some weight.:yikes:

Bob--U didn't want me to get my as* kicked--did you:yes:

 :hun: A "Power Reduction" switch?!?

If it's the same one that the RTs have: it reconfigures the VSS, so that it can take into consideration the presence of a passenger.
But it doesn't reduce power!

Like Bob said ^ No power reduction AFAIK, but it does change the braking bias & Nanny intervention to cater for the additional weight carried above the CoG. ;)

Any 'loss of response' you might encounter is probably only due to the extra weight load, but maybe you shouldn't tell your wife that!

Info I received from the dealer when I took delivery---kinda scary --huh. Thanks for the clarification:clap:

What..!!

It's like the ones in many cars that sense when there is a passenger and turn on the airbag....if you disconnect it you will hear from the nanny....:lecturef_smilie:

If your wife only weighs 115-120 LBS you need to learn to shut your mouth and be grateful or we will be reading your Obit.
