• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Passenger not happy!!! :-/[/h]
Has anyone attempted to raise the back passenger seat so that the passenger can see over the driver? Really wanted my wife to enjoy our rides and she is frustrated!!!

Diamond Custom Seats

Mark did our seat on our 2012 RT- he was able to raise the back and fit our seat for our sizes and weights. Seat turned out unbelievably comfortable. You might want to give him a call. His ad is on the SpyderLovers home page.

Because of my wife's short legged 4'11" frame, she prefers the stock '15 RT Ltd seat. The aftermarket seats are too wide for her. To make her more comfortable we have employed the following stratagies:
1. We use our Butt Buffer gel pads from our H-D Ultra Classic riding days.
2. Bought a full seat sheepskin from Misty Mountain @Spyderfest 2016.
3. Changed the stock passenger backrest for the ULTIMATE passenger backrest @Spyderfest 2016.
Not sure if this will help your wife's particular situation; but I thought I'd share what works for my wife without going to a RDL seat.

Yes I have

This is a common mod to a seat, I so it often mostly for people with a short passenger

size question

I'm also looking at a fleece covered gel seat from Saddlemen for the passenger seat on my RT Ltd. Any suggestion as to what size to order? I talked with Saddlemen and they said to measure it so the pad will sit flat on the seat with no overlap on the sides. It looked to me like a medium would work fine if the dimensions were just reversed. Any help would be appreciated.

My question is how tall are you and how tall is she? You can only get her part of the seat up to so high. After that she will be sitting too high to be safe. If you are that much taller than she is, she may never get high enough. Any of the other suggestions mentioned may work. But you can only do so much. On our first Spyder, 2008 GS SE5 we had a Corbin seat that we had done personally for her to see over my head, but she was really sitting, IMO, unreasonably high. Also, (she just commented when I read her this post) "Lots of WIND!" We also had the tallest wind shield that CalSci made. I am 5'8", she 5'4". Sometimes we have to just enjoy the ride and learn to work with some short comings.
Good luck.

Check into a Russel Day Long seat. They will do what ever you wish to the seat. It's a complete custom made seat. :coffee: Tom :spyder:
