• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Passenger handle

Has anyone modified the passenger handle? I would like to cut-away the handles that stick out from under the seat. An easy job, but I'm not sure if there is anything "important " embedded in the center of handle portion.
Thanks

PASS. HANDLES

If they are heated there will be wires connected to the harness. If not just un-bolt them ........ Mike

Depends....

Standard on the GS/RS/RSS and ST with no electrics involved (heated grips, radio controls etc) should be able to cut them off. Being a one piece unit you could remove it and add spacers where needed. Not sure why you would want to they are handy for many reasons besides the passenger holding on...unless you just want the passenger to hold on to you.....:roflblack:

Some day you're going to want to strap an extra bag behind you back there, and you're going to say, "GAAH!":gaah:

PASSENGER HANDLES

A thought, if you ever have to move the Spyder .....what is better than those handles ???, nothing else comes close to the strength of them ....... jmho, Mike

Relax people, it's a look to use when I have the mono seat cowl on the bike. And, of course I'm not going to cut the stock handle, I'm buying a spare set of handles.

Well, that's the best reason I've heard yet on why to keep them. But, the Spyder has so much storage that I'd rather keep the, in the frunk that I am converting into a giant cooler!

You actually need them to haul a case of Labatt Blue bottles in a safe manner.

Passenger Handles

I didn't see any handles on Lamont's site. Could some one post a link to them so I can check them out. My SO finds the stock ones too low to use safely. Thanks.
