• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Parts - Need help identifying

I have 2 parts from a 2013 RTL that I need help identifying and price (if anyone is interested). I believe the first is the frunk battery cover, the 2nd looks like some sort of tray that went inside the driver compartment? It's been a while so not sure. Thanks much!

1. Shelf for the rear trunk 2. Glove box liner

ibdone, CopperSpyder's got you sorted with the ID!

As for any price & interest details, I reckon that'd be minimal if anything, cos in my experience, those parts are the very first parts removed from the 2013 RT's, especially the Glove box liner after the Heat Recall work was done... :lecturef_smilie:

The only reason that liner was there was to try (and fail phenomenally! :p ) to reduce the amount of heat getting into the 'glovebox' so that it'd be even slightly useful as anything but a 'pie warmer' - only before the Heat recall, even as a pie warmer, it wasn't much chop... it kept on burning the pies!! And for many, that was WITH the liner in place! :gaah: Then once the Heat recall was done, it immediately became a useless waste of space! :banghead:

The other bit might be sorta useful for those who don't use any of the other 'trunk organisers' that do a much better job of making the rear trunk an easy to use storage compartment for those smaller things that we tend to accumulate, or maybe to help those using the Rear Trunk Luggage Bag keep it in place... but that too isn't really such a great help. :sour:

So unless you happen across one of the few people who REALLY WANT to keep all the OEM pieces of kit in their (2013 mostly - maybe??) RT's regardless of any usefulness or inconvenience, you've probably got yourself a couple of cheap 'Man Cave Wall Ornaments'... :dontknow:

Just Sayin'

Outstanding reply, really really really appreciate the background/description. Had little to no clue what on earth these extra parts were. I will hang my newly discovered gems in my outside circular file.
