• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Parking Pass, Where To Put It???

I have a monthly parking pass for the bus station I park at. I want to take the Spyder there everyday instead of the car. The pass is a paper pass made to hang from the rear view mirror in a car. I can just stick it on the inside of the windshield but I don't want it to get stolen. Any ideas???

I think the best solution is to call the parking authority for the lot and ask if they have a sticker or some other decal for a motorcycle.

Doesn't exist, this is NJ Transit and the pass is printed from the vending machine, there is no other type of pass. I could pay a daily rate but it would cost me $40 instead of $20 which I guess isn't to bad.

:dontknow:
Put the pass between two pieces of plexiglass and screw it to a plate and then clamp the plate to your handlebar.

I might try this first:

When I park at a meter that requires you get a paper ticket from a machine, I have a big plastic clip that I attach to the windshield with the ticket. It's worked so far.

But, if I were you, I take a picture of the monthly pass on the spyder to show the date and any i.d. numbers on it. If it gets stolen and you have to go to court to pay a fine, bring the pic. and then try boborgera's more permanent idea.

I don't have a good anti theft plan--but this is what I do. I have both a Disabled sticker and a parking pass that I use on weekdays when going to work.

I have them in a plastic ziplock bag and I affix them to the windshield with clothes pins. The plastic bag folds so I have it on both sides of the windshield--that way the clothes pins do not scratch the windshield on either of my bikes.

I have never had one stolen off my bike in the five years I have been doing it.
