• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Parking Brake

Parking brake

Hi I just have been through the same problem had to get my RT towed in and they found out it was the parking brake switch that was faulty, what year and model is yours. Here is a hint I was told if it ever happens again and I am out of town on the road to get the RT mobile you need to get down on the floor at the back wheel next to the exhaust and look at the rotor and pads where you will find 2 bolts that have an allen wrench and a #12 metric nut, release them and this will dis-engage the parking brake(so I was told) so at least you can get the Spyder to move. I have not done this and I have checked it out there are 2 bolts that seem to hold the braking system together and I only saw 2 of them but I am not sure if you release them it may release the parking brake and if it does do you need to re tighten them so as your brakes will work. If anyone reading this can help and explain this better as I have not done this and would be worried to do this, but I suppose if I was stuck in the middle of no where I would try it.
One or two people who replied to my parking brake problem did mention this and said once the 2 bolts were released the parking brake started to function again but they did not go into detail of how to do this they just said to release the 2 # 12 nuts.
