• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Took my Red RT-s SE5 in today for the 600 mi service and was informed the Parking Brake Spring listed in Bulletin 2011-9 are back ordered.

Since I don't have any issues, I guess if can wait for the 3000 mi service whcih will be sometime in Septmeber as I have a New Englang trip planned for early September which at the end of the trip will get me close to the 3000 mile mark.

Has anyone got the new spring yet?

They dealer ordered one for mine and they expect to call me early next week to swap it out.

Wasn't aware of this service bulletin. Can you provide the details or, better yet, a copy of that bulletin?

Is service bulletin 2011-7 available for download somewhere? The Home page of Spyderlovers.com only has the 2010 bulletins listed. (Got 2011-8 and 2011-9 from previous post link.)

I don't know how to get the bulletins...I just copied Lamont's post for the 2011-9. If you get -7, let me know as I am scheduled to get 7-8-9 done next Friday... I am [email protected] Thanks.

I have an 2010 RT, with 19,000 miles. I had it back to the dealer twice with parking break problems, I do not consider this a major issue. Today when I picked up my Spyder after getting a new rear tire they let me know that they had replaced the parking break spring. When I questioned this they said BRP had covered it under warranty and that they had just received the new springs. This is to let you know the dealer should have springs and apparently they will cover the 2010 RT.

:agree::agree::agree:I had the spring replaced on my 2010 RT. It was covered by BRP.
When I went thru Cowtown in Cuba, MO they had a bunch of new springs on the counter. I guess if your dealer is on the ball they can get springs. Unless your dealer is one of the ones that says "I haven't heard of that problem before:(." or "boy, you're the only one that has this problem:gaah:."

you're the only one that has this problem:gaah:."

The last time a mechanic said that to me, I said Write it down so you remember when another person comes in with the same problem, You can say,
You know we've seen that before and we know how to fix it.
