• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Parking brake question.

This weekend I ran out of adjustment on my parking brake. Is there any more adjustment possible on the other end of the cable, the (Left = Clutch) side? If not, I guess I'm going to have to buy a new cable? One year of service seems a short time time stretch the cable to the point it's no longer serviceable, but I do apply the parking brake whenever I'm stopped. Sorry to be lazy, but I haven't had time to consult the service manual or pull anything off to see for myself yet. Thanks to whomever can provide me with feedback.

If the proper adjustment is unable to be obtained with the cable, remove the nut and the lever arm then move the lever one spline position at a time, until the proper adjustment can be obtained.

Mine has been stretched ever since an incident where it got stuck "on" and my "friends" kept stepoping on it to try and release it while I was inside buying wd40. At my lastservice, they adjusted it to its limits and it still is nominal. They will replace it when I get back from my Daytona trip in a couple weeks.

Rando has the right advice. I've never done that second adjustment he talks about but I have heard about it many times. Give that second adjustment a check.

I have had to adjust the lever. Not too hard. I think part of this is in pad wear, and part in cable stretch. The cables shouldn't stretch much, but this one seems to.

We just had mine adjusted at the dealer and they did what Rando suggested. I just barely have to press on it now to get it to engage and disengage. It made a huge difference.:)

Thanks a lot atadude !!!;)
I will loosen the big nut and move the arm forward !!!
great pics !!!

I will use a torque wrench !!!!

Had the BRP parking brake mod done at my last service, all parking brakes issues now resolved. Locks on hard with just 2 clicks and release is now a breeze.

Mine was just the opposite. Worked like a charm, after mod, not so charming. Had them tighten the cable today, so will see what tomorrow brings. Nothing I can't live with, just a bit annoying
