• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

parking brake during ryding ??

has anyone tested if the parking brake switch is not working during my ryde - its direct on the side of the switch for the heated grips ...
or should the system protect ..

I have a Spyder RT-S SE5 2010 Model

Not sure if you mean trying to apply the Parking Brake whilst riding

In the operators manual it states the following :-

Applying Parking Brake
With the vehicle stopped, press switch
to apply the parking brake. The brake
indicator lamp will flash.

NOTE: The parking brake cannot be
activated when the vehicle is above
10 km/h (6MPH).

I think this is the same for all Later model RT's - Someone will confirm this

Hope this helps

You are correct. Last winter I hit the heated grips and I guess I also hit the parking brake switch. After at least 30 min. of riding I came to a stop light and it engaged just be for a complete stop... I about went over the handle bars:banghead:

This never occurred to me, so I'm really glad to have read it. I've only used my heated grips once, but I can see the possibility of accidentally turning the parking brake on during a ride instead of the grips.

Thanks.
