• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

PARKIN LOT MANEUVERS........

Some piece of human detritus in the parking space beside me decided that my 2011 RS S was too big to fit next to him and decided to move it by smashing into the back side of the right fender, jamming the fender and the mounting bracket against the tire. After removing the fender tailpiece and during a fit of anger and the resultant flow of adrenaline, I was able to bend it enough to clear the tire and get home. I removed the wheel ( a whole 'nuther story since the clearance was non-existant) and put some flat washers between the fender and the bracket to sorta' square it up and at least make it rideable. I am looking for a correctly bent rear bracket, black, to to replace the one this human piece of crap bent for me. If any one has one they don't need, I'd be happy to discuss price and shipping costs. I can only hope the paint and clearcoat left over from painting the seat cowl is still usable to fix the gouges in the paint.

Not to be nasty, but how could it have been moved if the parking brake was set? Without a key, how could this be done? A little more info, please.

If you hit a Spyder with a car, it will move regardless of whether or not the parking brake is set.

It was a grungy old pick-up in the space beside me when I parked. 4000 lbs. in motion against 800 lbs. with one wheel locked.......?

The weird thing is that there was no vehicle in the space in front of the jerk when I parked, nor was there a vehicle there when I went to leave and found the damage. Appears that it was a deliberate move, or the driver was a real dumba**.

Hey, was this in a public place where local businesses might have cameras that could have picked up the incident ?? I would be going after them !!:gaah:

:agree: There might be useable evidence in a video camera somewhere: it's worth asking some questions.
Good Luck!

Maybe he pulled in a bit too fast before he saw that what he initially thought was a motorcycle had in fact 2 widely spaced wheels at the front end.

Still no excuse for the piece of sh*t not waiting for you to return.

Next question; even if that were the case, why did he have a need to share MY space?

Did you report it to the police? Your insurance company? If the police investigated and found the driver (as mentioned, above, there might be video evidence from businesses) he would be liable for your damages.

Believe me, cops will not be interested in tracking this down. You will have to do your own leg work if you want to try to find video of who might have done this.

While that may be true: if you show up with the evidence, they'll HAVE to deal with it.
Video evidence would be outstanding, but even names of potential witnesses would help.

Make sure you ask the store if they have security cameras overlooking the lot!

Pretty sure that dumb ass is the correct terminology. To bad that kind of stuff isn't nice.
