• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Parade Day in Nephi, Utah

As many of you who live in small rural areas know, summer weekends are local small town celebration days. These always include a parade in which every nearby small town's royalty participates. My wife Cynthia is the events coordinator for our town and as such has a lot to do with the queen and her attendants. Last Saturday was the Ute Stampede over in Nephi, Ut and our royalty always participates in their parade. Nephi is about 30 miles away thru the mountains, a beautiful drive. Our parade float is no longer in the best of shape and my wife and the committee were concerned about it making the 1hr trip. Somebody suggested that the girls could ride in the back of a convertible, but nobody had access to one. Then one of the girls mentioned that her dad would be happy to ride her on his motorcycle, another girl had a friend with a motorcycle, and since the 3rd girl is my wife's niece, guess who got volunteered to be the third motorcycle. Since my Spyder is in the process of getting a new Shift Shaft I had to scrounge around and find one I could borrow. My friend Ken has 2010 RT SM5 he let me use for the afternoon. Since the parade didn't start until 4:00PM, I had time to take a nice ride thru the mountains. They are not green as they were last month but it is still pretty. At the parade gathering point I got our number in line (#31) and lined up Flag bike (Harley), Queen (Harley), 1st Attendant (Harley), 2nd Attendant (Spyder). Since parades don't move very fast, we kept plenty of distance between us and the entry in front of us and behind so we could run back and forth between them and weave and run circles in the wide street. We had to keep moving to keep the Harley cool. The Spyder of course had no trouble. The crowd loved us, and I am pretty sure we were the only motorcycles in the parade. Girls loved it too.
