• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi

I have my Dashboard painted. Look @ "My Albums for pictures, or see my pictures on my posts.

Mike ( Blueknight911) painted the dashboard(Cognac) on my 2014RTS-SE6, and he has painted his dashboard on his 2014RT- Basic Pearl White. Deanna

Good luck with this project; please let us know how it all ends up!
Cruzr Joe did some "re-coloring" fo windshield brackets... I'm not sure what he did, so you should probably ask him directly.
As I see it; the footrests might just be the toughest part of this game. Since they're going to be stepped on, scuffed, kicked, and generally abused by anything with a foot; you might want to consider having them powder-coated. That would probably be the toughest finish that you could add.

windshield bracket

I had my windshield bracket powder coated while the rt was in hibernation. I think it was 25 bucks well spent.

Good luck with your project. IMG_20160207_1542_55.jpg

YOUR PROJECTS

IMHO, you can paint, plasti-dip, or powdercoat all of them.....even the foot-pegs......since you have the BASIC RT like me they aren't a WEAR item, they are well covered in rubber. ..........Mike :bbq:

Here's how I do it....

The plasti dip is nice but on the footrests I would go with the powder coat. It will last longer so if you powder coat the pegs might as well powder coat them all you will be much happier with the outcome...

paint

I just put a Goldwing windshield on my '14 Rt - so while I had it off I painted the bracket a flat black. Next will be the bars and panel by the foot pegs.

Have fun!

Painting!

Have them powder coated! You won't regret spending the little extra money! Good luck with your project!

Decals!

I have painted all of what you mention with very good results using Rust Olium x2. You can get flat black, satin black and shiny black. Holds up great............

Got the decals from Wrap My Spyder. They are a site sponsor, Pete can fix you up with anything you need. Mine are actually matte black to compliment the matte platinum paint.
