• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Painted Dash

I THINK SO

Is the color close enough to the Cognac to paint the rear black fender with it
Thanks
Don

Don I did the painting and before I re-mounted the dash I put it against the side bags for comparison.......It was extremely hard to tell any difference .....and I'm fussy about that sort of thing.............In some PM's with Dubld I discovered He didn't read my original Thread about using the VHT paint. It's absolutely critical to first prime the PLASTIC with a PLASTIC PRIMER PAINT ( I think red works best for Cognac switch ) He discovered that after He painted without the Primer. Also this Paint is translucent so you need to apply many light coats or it will run......+ at least 4 coats of any cheap clear for depth.....good luck, Mike

Purple Guy got the idea from me about painting his dashboard Cognac.

Thank you Deanna777 and Blueknight911 for setting the record straight, and no, Mike, I did not read your "original thread" because I didn't even know it existed. I wish I had seen your thread. It would have saved me a lot of trouble. So, to give credit where credit is due, thank you again.

Don: Yes, the color is an exact match to the cognac, so you can paint the rear black fender. Sent a PM. You will see the color in my post # 20 on this tread. Deanna

Look at my post # 20 on this thread you will see a pic. Yes, Blueknight911 did paint my dashboard with the cognac.

Also, the color looks Awesome, and the dashboard does pop out. Blueknight911 was the one who suggested to me about getting my dashboard painted with the cognac.

You can send me or blueknight911 a pm if you need more info. Deannna
