• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

PAINT,PAINT,PAINT Quantum Blue to be exact

BlueLine

New member
I know they must have it somewhere cause they painted a lot of Spyders with it, but I can't seem to find it. I recently had the left hand side panel blow off, recovered it, but it slid paint side down to the road. I tried the BRP site in effort to just replace the panel.....well they don't seem to have any Quantum Blue ones for the 2012 RT, but the do have all others. Must have had a lotta Blue ones blow off.
I then thought its repairable so I'll just get the paint code for it, but one doesn't seem to exist. I've tried the forum suggestions of Color Rite and US Paints, no luck. Of the new 11 colors produced by US Paints for BRP,quantum Blue is not one of them. I've checked back on older posts, no luck. If anyone else has a direction let me know Please. I also need to know what the Tupperware panel is really made up of so I maybe can go to an auto paint supplier and have them try the color match gun on it then get them to mix an appropriate compatible paint that won't affect the Tupperware or impede the bond.

Is your rt orbital blue? I have a 2010 rs that is quantum blue... I have a ppg paint code if you need it. I havepainted a few of my parts...I think the rt and rs are two different blues...I may be wrong?

The paint is by B.A.S.F 862472

Now this kind of information is handy. Maybe there should be some sort of "knowledge base" here on the forum to include things like this.

Another candidate would be part numbers and places to order the screws used to hold the tupperware on. :dontknow:

I can help with one

The part numbers for those little black push rivets : Napa part number 665-2389. I was surprised when my local NAPA dealer actually had them. Gone back there tomorrow with the paint code to see if he can surprise me again.

Not to take away from this site as I am here all of the time anyways now. But I have started a site that may be useful. http://ncspyder.com/ I have posted some information on there already. I did this just so I had easy access to it but you are more then welcome to use it as well.

Thanks!! Saved it and will definitely refer to it as needed. I was wondering about quantum blue for touch up purposes just a few weeks back.

Thanks again,
Patrick

glad I could be of assistance. I am going to be adding links on there as well and of course this site will be number one on the list as well as a lot of the sponsors on this site. forums are great with getting into the community but sometimes there is a need for static areas.
