• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What are the averages cost for a basic paint job of the spyder? I know it's going to vary a lot, but im talking basic color (no design). If i wanted to paint all the silver another color, and leave the black?

I see some some have done this already, so im hoping i get some responses.

Thanks in advance

Going for my test in TWO DAYS!

Shopped around and made a deal if i took all the panels to the shop 350.00 plus the cost of paint. Sounds like a good price.:dontknow:

On the high side (but not the highest), the paint on my Valk cost $2,000. The detail, however, is incredible... even the little stiches are visible on the flags.

You will probably get the best deal if you are willing to take all the panels off yourself. I had a friend paint mine and he did the Kandy Apple Red with Graphics for $750 which is a heck of a good deal. We just left his house today with our newly painted gloss black Bushtec trailer and a little extra surprise for $525.00, I don't have any graphics on the trailer yet though. So definitely shop around.

I had every panel painted. I did this so I could change the stock black to a metallic black. Additionally, some of the panels are done in two-tone and the break points between the colors is pin striped. The pin striping was done by hand. I would have never imagined painting it like I did without consulting an expert. So the point to all this is: go talk to a painter yourself. If you still just want to do a basic change of color, you can probably get it done cheap. However, if you talk to an artist -- as I did -- you'll end up with something really cool. Yeah, I may of paid a bit more than average for mine, but it is well worth it to me. The final cost was around $2,500. Check it out...

SSG Bean i love that blue it just might take me longer to decide on the color than it will to get my spyder. :roflblack:

I'm part way done with painting my silver panels with a Satin Black two part epoxy paint.

I already have the air compressor.
I bought a new detail gun just for this: $30
Two part epoxy paint: $25
Lacquer thinner: $6
Sanding pads: ~$15
