• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Paint Chip

Yesterday while doing a 200 mile ryde with a group, we got a chip in the paint probably due to a rock. Can we buy touch up paint? We have a 2012 RT-S Viper Red. Thanks for any assistance.

Viper Red Touch Up Paint.

I posted this a while back, in response to another post about Viper Red touch up paint:

"Thanks for the tip on the Chrysler High Performance Red PR3 being a good match for the Can Am Viper Red color. I like to keep a small bottle of paint on hand as a just in case for any nicks or rock hits, and I don't understand why BRP doesn't provide bottles of touch up paint for sale. Unless they don't want to deal with any possible Haz. Mat. issues. Anyway, I ordered a bottle of the Mopar Red PR3 touch up paint, and it took two days to get here. I picked it up today at our local Dodge/Chrysler dealer, price $11.10. <M>"

I haven't needed to use the touch up paint yet, but, I'm trusting that it is a good match. Bye. <M>

Ordered a small bottle from Color Rite. Included a small touchup brush also. You can order off the web. Matched great. We also have a red RT. ;)

I bought some touch up paint on amazon.com. They had all colors and it comes in a tube like a magic marker. I haven't tried it yet since the temp has to be over 70 degrees but will probably get to it next week.

I'm getting a set of saddlebags and the insert doesn't match my spyder. So thanks to this thread and the link mwkess posted I now have a source to get matching spray paint. I am thinking that one can should be enough to cover both givi bag inserts. What do you guys think?

Had a rock chip and my wife suggested going to her nail salon, I thought she was crazy but took the bike and went. They were more helpful than most repair shops. Brought out several different colors of red and they had me open the trunk and they put a small line of polish on the inside until they found the exact color. Those gals were good, found it on the 4th try. Best $6 I ever spent. Of course, my wife did not let me live it down for about a week.
