• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pacific Coast Highway

First really nice day since getting the RT-S. Took a 35 mile run up the coast. Lots of bikes, lots of waves, and lots of beautiful scenery.

Im jealous. We (wife and I) want to drive the coast highway all the way up, someday we will make it. Hope you had great time.

I took US1 too today from SF to Duarte for a soup and back through 9 to 35/92/280... Windy but a perfect day: no nannies, no limp mode!!

The PCH, Hwy 1, is a must do for any cyclist, let alone a Spyder. I did it last year from the southern tip near San Juan Capistrano to the northern tip near Leggit. The southern half to Santa Monica pretty much sucks. We did it in four sections, piece meal as the occasion allowed. The northern half above San Francisco was brutal if you were trying to cover as much ground as you could in one day. But very enjoyable. An amazing highway!

I did 1 (and 101) from San Diego to Port Angeles, in many different trips.... Still chickened out on the Lost Coast portion: there was so much fog i could not see the front of my RT!!! Best part must be around Big Sur (and the most expensive gas!). The worst IMHO must be before San Diego...

I did the Hwy 1 a couple of years ago on a brand new Victory Vision. Lots of fun. My favorite part was the Lost Coast road. There are some pretty good bumps if you can call it that from the roots of the Redwoods on part of the Lost Coast. Wonderful time.

Absolutely I must do ryde

Last year did the run from San Jose over to San Francisco over the Golden gate Bridge up Highway 1 to meet up with the Spyders in the Redwoods group fabulous run highly recommend it As well as join up with Spyders in the Redwood, great group of people great event

We did the PCH last summer, left from Edmonton Alberta to Port Angele's,Washington. Head west towards Forks then all the way south to San Fran. My wife and I were on our 2011 Spyder rt limited and our friends were on A Road Glide. This Hiway is amazing lots of traffic but amazing. When we turned off hi way 101 onto the 1 I new by looking at the gps this was going to be fun:yes::yes: what I didn't realize was that to have fun your shoulders have to hurt like hell:banghead::banghead:. Our friends on there Harley never pulled out of second gear for 40 miles when we left drive through tree Nation Park. Man that is one crazy road but lots of fun. My arms where killing me by lunch but so worth it

Loved riding up the coast last year with my Spyder buddy,Scottyb. But after going from Santa Monica to Morro Bay we turned inland :(

Next time I wanna make sure I ride south down the coast as you will be closer to the cliffs :yikes:

Always a great ride with riding with friends.

Can't express enough how riding the Spyder brings you so many opportunities of meeting great people. The adventures you create are GOLD! The friendships you make are priceless! And most of all you are riding one of the coolest machines on the road.
Thank you to Spyderlovers "City Of Angeles Chapter", and The San Diego, Northern California chapters of the SRA. Even though I have had some medical issues that have prevented me from riding these last few months, I look forward to future rides, get togethers and continue meeting some of the nicest people out there.
Especially by dear friend Ticketbait.
