2010 RT, left me on the side of the road today, quick tow bill later....code P0122 code shows up, zero throttle response....what course of action at this point?...replace it, then calibrate it somehow...only with BUDS?...at the mercy of the dealer for calibration? Try to set it back where it was and adjust until it works?...what has worked in the past?....thanks!

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you put that code 'P0122' into the Search field (top right corner of the page) then check the 'Search titles only' box below it before submitting the search, there's already a bit of reading here on the Forum for you to check out. And if that info is not enough reading for you, try unchecking the 'Search titles only' box and re-submitting the search, but be warned, you might get more than you bargained for! (Which is why you usually don't want to do that on your initial search... 
) There might even be a thread on that code listed in the 'Similar threads' block below, check it out. 
I'm not sure if any of the threads Search brings up will help a lot, I only gave them a bit of a glance to see if they were talking about the right code, but it does show why it's always a good idea to Search FIRST, and then only start a new thread if you can't find an answer. By searching first and spending a bit of time reading, at the very least, besides not being the person asking the same old question yet again (we're STILL trying to cull some of the bloody oil threads asking the same old same old questions!
) you'll get some idea of how prevalent the problem/that code is, and who knows, if the info in those threads gives you some insight into the problem, your question for a new thread might be a little different, or it might not be necessary at all!

Well, to begin with, some correction and clarification. P0122 refers to the Throttle Acceleration Sensor - the TAS - not the throttle position sensor, or tps. So, you or a Mod might consider correcting the title of this thread.
These are the sensors in your throttle twist grip that send your desired throttle command signal to the ECM. I've attached some information for you regarding how they work and the issue with the code. No settings or adjustments for these things. They either work or they don't. As you can see, because you have two of them, it should have never left you on the side of the road in the first place, if only the #1 sensor failed. So, there could be some other issues along with this. Check all your fuses.
Do you have a Pedal Box or Pedal Commander - or whatever those things are called - installed. It’s rare, but they do have a history of frying these sensors. If so, disconnect it and cross your fingers.
Bottom line, BUDS can test them, and take some readings for you and check for additional codes, but there is no calibration, reset, or cure with BUDS. Replacement requires replacing the entire right hand grip assembly. So, if you want further information, you'll need to supply more details.

Thanks for the reply, it seems like P0122 directed me towards the TPS, both generally on Google and on this forum. I did search this forum first and there is plenty written, but it didn't provide definitive answers... I can check resistance on the TAS tomorrow, much easier to access for sure. The motor lost power, quit, restarted, limp mode, lost throttle response. After sitting and trying at home, around the neighborhood, same deal - lost power, then no response, limp mode, then throttle response came back, but it stayed in first gear. This gives me a direction on how to proceed. Thanks! I'll let you know what I find.

The Spyder is not OBD2 standard. Many codes are Spyder unique and proprietary. That's why Google will give you mis-information. Unfortunately, that same mis-information will make it onto the forum. Service Manuals from back in that era usually contained a complete code listing. That's where I get the screenshots from. That content was removed in later years. With a 2010 RT, you could benefit from that tool:

Limp mode is a bit odd for just a single TAS failure. Perhaps there's more going on. Try to get it up and running again and into Limp Mode. While it's running in Limp Mode, pull up the codes again and see if you have some additional codes active. It may help narrow things down... and stay off of Google. Good Luck.

It starts, runs normally, intermittent throttle response, engine light flashing, P0122 is the only code. I pulled the throttle housing, there's nothing apparent... The wires are sealed going into the sensor, how do I check the ohms, Poke the wires? The wires disappear into the handlebar base, should I just follow them? There's got to be a plug down there somewhere?
