• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Owners without problems - Rollcall

23,000 miles - no updates/recalls done and no problems at all - :2thumbs:

I will get the recall done at 25,000 miles

2009 Silver and Black SM5 with 3500 miles and still going strong. No mods except saddlebags. It is my wife's but I do ride it. I am teaching her to do the maintenance on it. She is quite remarkable with this. I bought her a torque wrench so she can do it right. We love the :spyder2:. Can hardly wait till we get the next one for me. Absolutely no problems.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

2009 Yellow RS just passed 2k miles... Had a couple hick-ups that dealer corrected... Nothing further...

Love every min i'm on the roadster... Wouldn't trade it for 2 wheels ever....dan

NUTHIN YET

Me and my wife bought 09 GS -5's about a month ago, and we have had no issues yet, we have had the vent hose updates and the ECM updates done. we only have about 600 miles on them so far, taken them back for the first service in week or so. I have made the crankcase breather mods for both bikes, but yet to install, no oil in boxes yet either. I have had the back firing issue with my bike after theTBR was installed, so i had to put on the JBPRO and a K/N filter, and it is running really good now. I keep my eye on this site to keep informed for any issues. This a GREAT SITE, Lamonster, and others are so informative. LOVE ridin this bike and my wife does too. the only problem is tryin to find time to ride!:2thumbs:

No Problems

I am happy to report no problems with my 2008 SM5! We just bought it new this year 6/19/2010. My current mileage is 1800! My selling dealer was absolutely fantastic. with that being said, I almost did not buy the spyder. I read too much into the horror stories on the forums! I'm happy and looking forward to a long relationship with my spyder.:2thumbs:

Spyder issues

'08 Sm5- 12,000 miles. Major Air intake changes. KewlMetal Performance Air system to solve the oil in the airbox leak. Added a JB for better fuel use. 34 to 36 mpg average, a couple of tanks over 40 mpg. 1st. DPS update done, nothing since.:2thumbs:

Squeeky brakes – very minor issue (comes and goes)

Replaced (re-welded) both Front Fender support rods. Broke in the same area. Damage is from my 4 mile long wash board dirt driveway. :gaah:

Lost Right Front mirror. BRP Rep told me a number of them were cut undersize. :yikes:

Almost 5900 miles on my 2009 SM5 and about to take it in for the 6K maintenance. No problems whatsoever (knock on wood) and all scheduled maintenance and updates performed. Green Filter, Canisterectomy, Juice Box and Two Brothers Exhaust installed.
