• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Owners of "official" Premier Edition Spyders

My A&C is relatively low-numbered (1744), but nothing special about it other than the good times that have been had with it...
I kept seeing RTS models listed as PEs; thus my confusion.

2010 RT-S PE#0032. Wonder how many PE's still have the stock seat on them?

The covering on my stock 2010 seat began seperating from the innards in 2011 and was replaced under warranty. The embroidery with #699 was also replaced. The replacement seat felt different than the original. Though not bad for a stock seat, I installed an Ultimate Seat a few days ago.

I told my brother, who lives in Derbyshire, that I had bought a Spyder. He said he has never seen one. Are they very rare in the UK?
(btw, he is very savvy about motorbikes so would know a Spyder if he saw one)

My understanding is we have 280 Spyders in the UK - France and Germany have more, BRP have never run a TV Ad in the UK
I am sure it would help boost sales if they did

Being one of the first to get one never bothered me - Being the Only one would have Ref - Dealers and Servicing

All the RT Premiere Editions were Timeless Black RTS versions. The seat number matches the serial number trailing digits, and the model designation on the VIN# tag is unique. Any other model that has the seat has been altered. There are some stray PE seats out there because the originals were changed to a Corbin or Russell, or because the seat was replaced under warranty with the revised version, and the old seat was not sent back or destroyed. There will always be unscrupulous sellers and owners that try to fool the public with these "clones", whether they be "PE" Spyders or "Shelby" Mustangs.

Scotty: thanks for the explanation about the seats. If and when I sell my RTS PE, the original seat will go with it. I switched over to a Corbin at about 500 miles/

I don't remember anyone else doing this--so thought I would give it a try.

There was a premier edition offering when the first 2008's came out. I believe it was supposed to be 1500 only--but they made about 2500 or more. The PE is identified by a plaque on the handlebar that says Premier Edition #XXXX

There was also a premier edition offering when the first RT's came out in 2010. They have Premier Edition #XXXX sewn into the front of the seat.

If something "new" is going to happen in 2013 they may also offer a premier edition.

It would be interesting to see how many premier edition owners are on board Spyderlovers.

If you will post your model and premier edition number, I will compile the information spreadsheet style and come up with a magic listing for everyone's information. Ask that you use the following format:

I will go first:

2010 RTS premier edition #474: akspyderman

I have a 2010 RT-S Limited PE #0496 and it’s serves me well!
