• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OUR RIDING SEASON IS OVER

On Tuesday 4/21 my wife and I flew down to Austin Texas to celebrate our son's wedding. A good time was had by all and we had a great week with family and friends. Last Tuesday 4/28 we left Austin bound for LaGuardia airport in New York, and then home to Connecticut. We had to change planes in Dallas, and as we were walking to our next gate, Valerie went down on the marble floor like an empty burlap sack. Police, TSA agents and airline personnel rushed to help. Emt's came and examined her very swollen knee, but there was really nothing they could do short of an ambulance ride to the hospital. She made the decision to come home regardless of the pain. We got into LaGuardia, got picked up by the car service, and headed to Connecticut where I dropped her off at the local ER, went the rest of the way home with the car service, dropped off all of our luggage, packed some things in a bag for her, got in my car and drove back to the hospital. Several hours later, the doctor informed us that she had a non-displaced fracture of her left Tibia. She ended up spending Tuesday & Wednesday night in the hospital, and I brought her home today with her leg immobilizer, wheelchair, & walker. She cannot put any weight at all on her left leg for a minimum of three months. The thing she is most upset about is that we are not going to be able to ride the Spyder to Chicago - much less go at all - over Memorial Day weekend for the second wedding party being given by our daughter-in-law's family. She survived cancer after surgery on April 1st, and now this. The poor girl just can't catch a break. So, fellow SpyderLovers, think of us while you are out there riding, and have a great season. See you all out there next year.

Sad news..!!

Hope she is comfortable and it heals faster than estimated. All the best to her and you as well...

Sudden medical issues have a way of changing plans very quickly. Praying for a speedy and healthful recovery.

Holy crap Dwayne,

Val just can't seem to get ahead (I was going to say a break, but she got that :p). We hope she heals up soon and you two can make it for Spyder Quest in September.
