I saw this on Ebay.

OUCH! Looking at the tupperware damage it doesnt look bad enough that the frame would have been damaged? I guess Spyder don't do well when they hit something in the front. Total loss I guess.

Description says that the frame was inspected and found to be damaged.

I hope the owner was OK. The description says that it looked like the trike rear ended a vehicle.

That SST-style frame is pretty "bendable" pps:
And a bit over two years' ago; they cost over $1400!

IF and only if... you had access to TONS of free labor; this one is better-off stripped and salvaged. :shocked:

:agree: I agree...looks like with the asking price and the $$$ for parts and labor, it would be cost prohibitive to repair. Even after the $$$ spent on parts, labor, etc, you still have a bike with a salvage title that will be difficult to sell/trade in if you chose to upgrade to a newer model.

You will spend $8,500 to start, add tons of labor and additional $$ and you end up with a machine with a Rebuilt Title that no bank will loan money on. So unless you want to keep it forever you will have very few buyers able to or wanting to purchase a rebuilt Spyder from you. Just my two cents. And if I had read Tony's reply I could just have said I agree. LOL

All the plastic removed don't look too bad, looks like the brunt of the hit was the left front wheel, it's pushed back. Don't really think they will get $8500.00 out of it.
