• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Other drivers flashing their highs

Now that I'm doing more riding at night with a passenger I seem to be getting a lot of people flashing their lights at me, I'm assuming they think I have my high beams on which I don't. I do run the fog lights. Anyone else experiencing this ? I've never seen a Spyder at night coming towards me. I heard the lights can bounce funny if you hit bumps, my lights don't seem to be adjusted too high. Curious on others thoughts.

If you ride very often with a passenger, you need to re-aim your headlights to account for the change in headlight angle when riding two up. Also, you should see about adjusting the spring tension up on your rear shock. I get the same thing when I ride two up at night. Two up only accounts for about 1% of my total ride time though so I have the headlights aimed for solo riding and hope that my headlight aim while riding two up isn't too distracting for oncoming traffic.

There is a point that the HID lights appear to flash very quickly at oncomming traffic. If, as you say, they are a bit high due to a passenger of other load the effect will be magnified.

Thanks for the info, kind of what I thought. (Did someone discover the fountain of youth or just change their picture ?)

My head lights were adjusted way to high from the factory. I got the same thing till I readjusted them, plus now I can see farther than before.

Improperly adjusted headlights and passengers are both factors, but if you get in your car and have someone follow you on the Spyder you will see in the review mirror what oncoming traffic sees. The Spyder lights do dance around and I think some of the oncoming drivers are flashing as they think the Spyder is flashing them.
