Other brands of calipers for Pre Brembo

Does anybody know or has anybody tried to put a different brand or type of caliper on the front of the pre 2013 Spyder(pre Brembo)? We already know about the unobtainium pad clips and these could be improved as witness the better feel of the newer Spyder brakes as opposed to the mushiness of older Spyders. Be nice if we could do an upgrade.

Wilwood? haven't heard of them before. Are they a supplier or a manufacturer?

I did a google search and found them and sent off an email question,so we'll see what they have to say
