• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Osama Bin Laden killed!

I bet the look on Osamas face would be pricelles when he finds out there are no 72 virgins waiting for him...lol

He now will be looked at as a martyr by the nuts that followed him and I am afraid we will see some retaliation. The bad part is his followers are already in the u.s. and in place, just like 911.

He probably was out of the operational loop anyway... This is just a symbolic victory; I don't feel great about celebrating ANY death, but I could maybe make an exception for this one!

True enough,Dave...but there will be one less piece of crap to deal with this morning!!!I think that we can all enjoy that fact.

:agree: It just would have been nice it they hadn't been so quick about disposing the body. As Thomas once said, "I need to see and touch it to be sure".

An interesting point was just made here... Celebrating his demise is really no different than what they did to us 10 years ago... Perhaps maintaining al lower profile would serve us better. We were certainly upset with what they did back then, so let's not give them anything to use against us...

:agree:
While we're all glad this POS is gone, we have higher standards here in the USA - which is what makes us great. Let's not lower ourselves to their level.
This would have been more effective had they caught him soon after the 911 attacks-- and all it took was going into the correct country...:D

They didn't dispose of his body--- it is in US custody.

No celebrating here... Just some closure... Like those who lost loved ones waiting for justice from the loss...

Your point is well taken, but there is a major difference. 10 years ago the crowds hit the streets in some middle eastern cities celebrating the killing of thousands of innocents. What we are seeing in some cities of the US is the celebrating the death of the killer of thousands of innocents.

It is unfortunate that that difference may be lost on some here & abroad.

Believe me... I'm on your side with this one. But we're "preaching to the choir..."
The person who made this point was concerned that Muslim communities abroad might take our "joy" in this news as an insult, thus provoking retaliation.
You can't use logic to explain the differences between the circumstances; logic doesn't transcend the barriers

"Muslim" radicals are out to KILL ALL THE INFIDELS!!!! PERIOD. Now that THAT job of getting the "leader" is done. Think it's time to bring the boys(NOW MEN) HOME!!! I learned when in Korea that there is NO WAY THAT YOU CAN REASON WITH A RADICAL!!!PERIOD!!! I for one am glad he's gone but it won't stop the radicals from coming at us anyway they can. I'll get off my soap box now, back to the thread.

Monday morning

I went down to get a cup of coffee and strolled over to see what the fuss was all about. At 1000, it all seemed normal at LaFayette Plaza. Security cops, tourists and lots of press. Let's not forget the 4 protestors that are always there. Apparently there was party there last night, but no signs of it now, just another busy Monday morning.

Very not sorry to say I am very glad he is dead :ohyea:. To bad it took so long, great job by the SEALS.
Political correctness is way out of control when we are compared to terrorists celebrating 9-11
