• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ordered my Stage 2 Elka shocks today

I’ve finally decided to bite the bullet and do it..! I’ve read so much about the much improved handling that I just had to do it ..!

Mine came in this past week but I was out of town. I plan to get them on this coming weekend and give them a test ride.

You are gonna love it! Want to increase the fun factor exponentially? Add the Power Commander from Slingmods. I have that, car tires, Elka 2s, and Ron's sway bar. I do not name my vehicles, but if I did, I call my F3L Squirt, as that's what it does in traffic and in the curves.

I finally got my Elka Stage 2 front shocks installed yesterday and was able to get out and ride a couple of hours today. I have 2,800 miles on the Spyder and I had already installed a Baja Ron sway bar. It would have been better to have installed the Elka shocks without the sway bar upgrade to really get an idea of how much they help.

Adding the shocks on top of the sway bar upgrade didn't give me the same increase in handling as when I added the sway bar, and I was expecting that, but it does feel more planted and stable in turns now. Especially in turns with some rough patches/bumps in them. It is also easier to keep your line through turns.

The biggest change is in how it handles bumps and rough sections of road. They just soak up the bumps and I found myself looking for rough sections to see how smooth it handled them. This made the upgrade worth it for me. The front-end feels way more planted over rough sections of road.

The other thing they did is make me realize how crappy the rear shock is. The fronts were soaking up the bumps and he rear was bottoming out. I guess I'm going to spend the money on upgrading it now. :ohyea:

No, but I’ve had the opportunity to chat with a guy that purchased them and he was very convincing..! That and everything I have read.
