Optimistic ambient temperature

Having the warranty cover the lost striker-plate on the right-side helped calibrate readings a bit more. Now I'm seemingly about +5 degrees F. for the most part, though over hot pavement, not moving, it tends to wander upwards another 5. I'm still under 600 miles so the engine is probably giving off a tad more heat during "break-in" and might contribute a tad to that reading. Much better now though.

We are talking about the one where you press the C button on the right hand side and it alternates between digital display RPM's and temp right? I

What "C" button?
today I looked and it read 111 deg. The app on my phone said it was 91.
As I was riding it came down to 105. that's still a 14 deg difference.
is there any way to adjust it?

The display is way too small for me to read anyway... :shocked:


P.S. The clock does a pretty lousy job of keeping accurate time as well!

The ambient temperature gauge on my 2011 RS-S SE5 is located on the lower right front of my Spyder. Sometimes in the summer when sitting in the parking it will show 105 deg. F. When the ambient temperature is only 87 deg. F. and when I start to ride it will take about 20 minutes to correct it self. The highway will increase the heat due to reflection. Bad thing is that is used to calibrate the fuel mixture, once it correct it self all is well again I hope. So don't worry be happy. That's IMHO.

The only reason that I even noticed it was because, I had my bike taken apart for about a month to do some mods and remove the heat.
We went riding today and was sweating our asses off. I'll take a pix later to prove it. (trust me you don't want to see that)
When I saw that it said 111 deg I knew that was wrong. I checked my phone and it said 91.
