• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OPPS Ultimate Seat Problem

I just installed my Ultimate Seat on my 2011RT , and I thought I had the release adjusted so it was correct. I lifted the seat a few times to make sure. Sunday I installed a Bajaron Anti sway bar so wanted to take a little ride and test . When I got back home I was going to plug in the Battery tender and now the seat will not release. What I should have done I guess was put some lock tight on the bolt that locks the seat. What to do what to do???/:banghead: any help will be good :bowdown:

When I got my spyder the seat wasn't tightened so when riding the whole thing would shift forward. Thankfully this happened when I was out in a group of spyder riders.

Pushing down and back on the seat (and I mean REALLY pushing) while also turning the key worked. You kind of had to finagle it.

I went back to the dealership for my service and they tightened the seat and had to move the pin back a bit.

Good luck!

Have you tried hitting the seat where the latch is as you turn the release with the key?

Dave ;)

You may have to reach down and losen the hinge bolts on the seat so you can slide it forwards (or backwards) to realign the pin. When the bolts are not tight enough they will alloww the seat to move just a bit for and aft.

Randy

Thanks to All that sent info. I guess the workst will be if I have to take the bolts for the seat out , i have fat fingers and it is a tight fit. Thanks again
