• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Open frunk without key

For the uninitiated: It's not that easy to open the frunk or seat...
Don't worry about it!
I leave a dumb key in my glovebox... Most folks don't even know that it's there; hiding in plain sight! :D

You just told 2 billion people on the web. :yikes:

Lol

Pictures, sketches and instructions would be helpful.
For which part, specifically. I don't have pics of the switch mod, wouldn't recommend anyone else trying it, and probably wouldn't do it again myself.:duh: The parts arrangement for the actuator can be pretty well deciphered from the parts diagram for the Spyder front. I don't have the actuator install done yet.

Now all he has to do is publish the VIN for his bike, then thousands of would-be bike thieves can go around checking VINs to see if the bike they're looking at is the one with the key in the glove box! :roflblack::roflblack:

In regards to the programmed key, if the programmed key is left hidden on the machine, but not in a small metal case, wouldn't a plain non programmed key, fire the engine. I was under the ipression that these keys, like a car, were some form of transponder with a short range.

PK
I tested that. I held the programmed key right next to the non programmed key. The Spyder wouldn't start. For some unknown reason it seemed to me that the programmed key has to actually be inserted into the ignition. However, the non programmed key allowed me to operate everything EXCEPT starting the motor.
