• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thunder and lightning this morning and the whole island is socked in, so it's a good enough time to get a mod in while it's still cool in the garage.

I really like the look of the Lamonster IPS axle end caps, but I dare to be different so I searched and found a very nice looking CNC cap with carbon fiber accent. I do like the look of real carbon fiber.

One problem though; The recess on the backside wasn't large enough to go over the axle nut washers, which was unacceptable to me. OCD in action.

I put together a make-shift jig and picked up a router bit for my Dremel, then got to work. Only enough material was removed to get the cap to fit over the axle nut washer.

One mod on a rainy day in Paradise, Cont.

The caps now fit over the axle nut washers.

I think these caps really add a nice clean look, while hiding the axle nuts and washers.
