2008 Spyder #608. I stopped for gas. When I fired up, it was only firing on one cylinder, and I limped it home. No spark to one cylinder. Displays code O P0351. What's that? Do I need a new coil pack or an ECM? Help.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

P0351 - Ignition coil stage 1 short to 12V or to ground Causes: blown fuse, damaged circuit wires, damaged connector, damaged or disconnected ignition coil. Not likely fuse F8 since the other side of the coil fires. There are several specific tests to pin it down further.

Thanks for the info. Not sure if that's good news or bad news. More testing today to try to determine if it's the coil pack or ECM. I'm sure the coil would be cheaper than an ECM.

Just throwing this in , Will a bad spark plug wire [arcing] also throw that code?? :dontknow:
The stock wires have been known to give up the ghost too easy.
