• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

On the Road and BajaRon end link came off - what size hex key needed?

I’m 5 hours from home and the below happened. I even have a hex set with me, but the set screw is somewhere between the 4 and 5. I think I can limp to a hardware store, but does anyone know exactly what size I need? I knew it was off when it bottomed out on a dip. There’s a pretty good ding in the linkage but I think it will still work if I can get it back on. This is very disappointing, as Daniel from Ron’s shop installed it himself.

3/16. The venue we are at happened to have a tool shed and some good samaritans and I got it back on. The other side was loose too. When I get home, I’m putting some loctite on them.

Update: the L shaped wrench found at the venue didn’t tighten it down enough. It had worked its way loose 15 miles later. I was able to purchase a 3/16 hex socket and wrench and got them tight enough to make it back to Dallas without any movement. But the screw is starting to round out, and I’m afraid to tighten any further. Ron as always is awesome, he saw my post yesterday, messaged me with his number, and we are working out the details.

Handy to carry 1/4” drive ratchet travel set, in addition to the Spyder tool roll.

I think I'm gonna check out the BR Ultimate bar installed on my 2023 S2S Oct last year, just to make sure it is tight, as I have not even thought about it since the install. Sorry for your troubles and glad it will be fixed.

Quite honestly, I've been checking every 1K miles. I visually look at the end links often. Nothing has loosened up after 1st snugging.

I checked them both every gas stop on the way back, lol. I probably will continue that habit for quite some time.
