• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

? on Factory radio

This is for a RT. Thinking on installing a factory radio. Was wondering if this radio is the best bang for the buck or are there something that would be better? Those that do have the factory radio, can you here it at 60 - 70 MPH with a full face helmet on? Can you hook up a MP3 to this radio? Is there a line out for headphones? I know that the rear speaker and controls are extra cost are they worth it? I read up on some shark systems and they take the MP3, SD, and USB. Anyone have info on the shark systems?

I can't answer all your questions, but I can answer some:

The BRP system can be cranked up reasonably loud, although distortion can be a problem at higher volumes. With a full face helmet, helmet noise is more of a factor at 60-70 mph.

With the BRP audio system, and the appropriate BRP cable(s), the system can connect to either an MP3 player or an iPod. The iPod is partially controllable from the handlebars in that case. I don't know if the MP3 cable or iPod cable, or both, come with the audio system.

There is no line out for headphones, unless you also purchase the CB/Comm system and the Entertainment Harness, as well as the BRP headset(s).

Other alternatives connect to helmet headsets (or the equivalent), but not speakers. There are several wired and wireless comm systems capable of this. Some can also provide a radio function.

Read my latest post. The spyder radio is garbage. I've spent thousands upon thousands, and some say, that sound on a bike is poor, I say bullcrap. I have Wetsounds on my boat, look up the videos, the sound on a boat, on a big open lake, kicks ass at 100 yard away. The spyder stereo is total garbage. I have never had a stereo distort so much at all volume levels. You have to have a keen ear, I play Pandora, hate it, and am opting for Quobuz, all streamed in cd quality, no less. I listen to Pandora and I can pick up gurgling, like warped record noise and other poor quality issues, people I ask, don't hear it, and most likely don't listen, accustomed to crap digital mp3 music. I can say for sure, that the stereo is producing distortion at lower volume, but less noticeable. I can also say that the music distortion is not due to the limitations of speakers at higher volume, as stated in my post I have high end focals, and amp, and the sound distortion is the same as the stock set up, just cleaner at lower volume, but I still hear distortion.

I wish someone could design a stereo that could be run off of the spyder controls, I'd buy it, cause the can am one is total crap.

BRP radio?

I have a 2014 RT-S SE6 with both radio and CB installed. Both are factory grade units. I or we have no problem with hearing either radio or CB at highway speeds. This CB is better that the one we had in our 2011. Hope this helps.

Look at Fusion Marine Radio Products!:yes::yes:. I have a 2010 RS with JL speakers without amp., and hidden antenna. GREAT SOUND!!!!!!! Installed by me!
