There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Old and improved spyder

Well it took them 3 tries but it looks like they got the engine rebuild right this time.
It was little rough the first couple of hundreds miles but my spyder is running better than ever!!!!

I installed the brp hid and Jl audio speaker pods i've been holding for 5 and 9 month....
Jl audio pods were no surprise. Sound quality and detail is amazing. I am hearing details of music I could not hear in car while I am ryding. They were very sensitive to equalizer but I've been playing with it and they are so so good and don't look awkwardly big on spyder. At least from the front, they actually makes spyder look better, I think. They sorta give the look of air-intake of jet fighter.

Brp hid, at first I was bit disappointed. They were not as white as I wanted and looked like they were not as bright as aftermarket hid kit BUT as it got dark, they looked better and better. Aftermarket kits were bright but light dispersed everywhere.
These projected light far without lighting up high, very focused.

It's been a long long time... I just rode around all day.

Your updates

Please indicate the model of your Spyder and the model of the radio system you installed. Mine is a 2008 SE5 GS and I am interested in installing on my Sypder the radio and speakers you installed if yours is a GS. As far as the head lights go I have found that the OEM lights on my export model are excellent when aimed correctly. Send me the information to: [email protected]. Many thanks. Arthur Cohen---Mexico City.

Very happy for you. Looks like it was worth the wait and the struggles. Glad you stuck it out.

I'm glad your back in the saddle !!! I hope you get many more miles on your Spyder now. BTW, it looks like you have a fender light out in picture #3 (brake side). :dontknow:

Thank you all and it statred sputter a bit yesterday when it got hot(above80), but a canisteractomy took care of that

arthur, speaker pods are from Jl audio, called stealth box. I am using a Eclipse 200 watts (true 200 watts) amp and clarion in dash EQ, eqs746. It's important use D class amp as these have much lower electrical draw. eclipse, alpine, Jl audio and others makes them. As good as these Jl audio speakers are, I don't think you will get as good a result with those puny motorcycle amp labeled as "250 watts" but may be a 20 watt amp.
My source of music is my phone mounted on the handle bar. I could turn these up at 80mph with stock windshield enough to hear the music clearly and still have plenty left. They do not have a lot of bass cuzz they were designed to be part of system with separate sub-box.

May be I spoke too soon...
I found puddle of oil on top of plates underneath the engine with oil spot on the ground when left overnight.
Spyder had oil leak the other two times after engine rebuild too.
Spyder is back at dealer and i am hoping it's just oil they did not clean up before they reinstall current engine.

I always take the splash pan off when I do an oil change. Takes longer but I advoid the dripping oil that sometimes collects on the splash pan if left on as the dealers do.

Glad you are rediscovering your Spyder and hope its just oil that hasn't been cleaned up from the dealers install.

I hope its nothing serious and just oil, that wasn't cleaned up after the install and your back on the road soon. Mine sputters at first when starting in this cooler weather and I wait until it warms up to at least the first bar before leaving, than its fine.

Good eye. ^^
once a while led bulb would get loose and I need to push it back in.

Anywho, it looks like it was just oil that they did not clean up before they reinstall the engine. They cleaned up and ran and check for 2 days and no appearent leaks, according to the dealer.
Spyder is picked up by a shipping company and on it's way to Dallas. Uship.com rules!!!
So. Cal to Dallas for $435! I could have shipped it for $389 if spyder was ready last week.
If engine holds up, it's almost new spyder. Only parts on my spyder that were not replaced are starter, frame, rims and plastics. Brp replaced everything else. This just may be end of ordeal, I hope.
