• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OK I have realized that all men are CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!

There are plenty of forums that are heavily moderated for any illicit posts, thoughts, words, etc. No swears, no personal attacking, you know the standard online forum things that are not allowed. However a post like what spectacular spiderman said, which, while in bad taste, on many forums you'd have people quoting it and saying "Lol" or "x2". The post would never get deleted by the mods and you wouldn't have people saying it was rude.

I for one appreciate the campfire community here on SL. Lots of good vibes and camaraderie. It is a refreshing break from the many other forums I frequent. I think many forums out there are made up of a much younger and more brash and uncaring demographic. Spyders, in general, are owned and ridden by older people. For one they're expensive but for two most younger people prefer motorcycles. I'm definitely in the minority being 31 and having a Spyder. They're awesome though and my powersports background is with snowmobiles and ATV's...never ridden a 2 wheeler and don't want to.

But I digress. To come full circle on my point...I feel like this forum is much more respectful overall compared to most online forums due to the majority of posters being more mature and more refined. I'm sure Lamont has had a hand in that but the crowd here for the most part probably didn't need much orienting to begin with.

StealthSpyder,

You quoted someone and I don't see it on this thread. I find what you say interesting; but, I'm trying to find where this started. Was the post removed from where you quoted?:dontknow:

early Sunday morning, my wife and I were walking along the beach, enjoying a beautifully warm, peaceful morning sunrise. Just then some guy came flying down the strip in his hopped up sports car, exhausts & stereo screaming, sort of ruining this peaceful moment. My wife looked at the guy (he was in his late 50's/early 60's), then looked at me and said, "don't you guys EVER grow up"?! It took all of about a half of a second for me to turn to her, look deep into her eyes, and as soft & polite as I possibly could, say to her,......."never!"
